Hezbollah not participating in next battle on Syrian border

BEIRUT, LEBANON – Hezbollah will not be participating in the next battle on the Syrian border, a military source told Al-Mustaqbal on Saturday.
According to the military source from Al-Mustaqbal, Hezbollah solely participated in the last battle on the border because Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham had a presence inside the Syrian province of Rif Dimashq, which allowed them to cross at will.
However, this upcoming battle will be conducted by the Lebanese Army because the Islamic State (ISIL) only possesses a presence inside the Beqa’a Governorte; this does not require the assistance of the Syrian military.

Hezbollah’s successful operation in the ‘Arsal Barrens has paved the way for the Lebanese Army to launch the Ras Ba’albak offensive that is geared to expel the Islamic State forces once and for all.
